This characterful 16th cent. pub still offers traditional games.
The pub has a new landlord, Tony Hook (since late 2014), who is offering 2-3 real ales initially and hoping to increase the range in the near future. Ales are served direct from the pub's own wooden barrels.
Food is cooked freshly by Tony and is sourced as much as possible locally.
An on-site micro-brewery will be launched at the pub's winter beer festival in February and will use malt from barley grown on the farm.
Open Wednesday to Sunday initially.
