A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 09 May in 1857 states the Auction of the Shoulder of Mutton, Polstead (No landlord noted)
A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 22 September in 1866 states that :
Auction of the Shoulder of Mutton, Polstead, substantially built of Brick & Slate and consisting Parlour, Kitchen, Tap-Room, Cellar & 3 chambers, back kitchen with Yard, Garden, Stable & sheds; in the occupation of James LINES.
Re-opened in 1996 after short closure, but then closed in 2002.
