The Golden Lion is one of Wetherspoon's finest, a large bustling 18th century town pub, situated on the main high street. Knowledgeable and efficient staff serving up to 7 real ales at any one time including up to 3 guest ales. The pub's name is thought to have originated from King Henry I and is also known as the Lion of Justice. Popular with the local horse racing community. Children welcome until 9pm in the family area. Real cider also available.
