Former residence Charles II now used as a hotel.
In 1895 a gentleman of rather dubious nature (known as Gordon Chetwynd) sold what was know as Rutland Cottage to the 5th Earl of Cadogan. The Earl numbered amongst his closest friends Edward Price of Wales later King Edward VII. Reputedley Miss Lilly Langtry entertained the king within the premises; legend suggests the one-time existence of a secret tunnel from here to King Charles' palace in the High Street.
Today it has a lounge bar, a resident's lounge, 12 bedrooms with en suite facilities and a restaurant.
