A free house offering a wide range of beers (up to 12 on handpump) in a large single, "L" shaped bar. There are no keg beers at all!
The single traditional bar has been nicely refurbished with a new tiled floor, wooden tables & a wide range of breweriana decorating the walls. To the rear is a large courtyard garden with its own wood-fired pizza oven (Friday evening is pizza night). A dish of the day is often available late Saturday afternoon. Quiz and food nights are held on Wednesday evenings with live music at weekends.
The pub was voted CAMRA's East Anglian regional Pub of the Year 2016, and has made it through to the final four candidates for national pub of the year. The result is expected to be announced in February 2017.
Beer served through handpulls
