An attractive, small, two bar pub serving home cooked food.
Since early 2015 it has been run by the same group that runs the Long Melford Swan and Hadleigh Ram, though it retains some Greene King signage so is probably still owned by them.
The building dates back to 1324 when it was first used as the town gaol. We don't know when it became an inn, but it was certainly 1730 or earlier.
