Due to reopen late summer as sister pub to the Three Wise Monkeys in Colchester. We understand it will be a pub, restaurant and music venue.

The plan is to have the ground floor as a large ‘tap house’, serving over 20 draught beers from keg and cask, spirits, cocktails, wine and coffee.

The first floor will provide a spacious bar and kitchen with food served throughout the day, including slow smoked barbecue food and burgers.

Mr Tonkinson also hopes to turn the basement area into a gin bar, with a `speakeasy’ vibe, to make it a hidden gem of Ipswich nightlife, and is in discussion with the planning authority.
