40 Lady Ln
My ancestors, Henry Rust and family owned the pub and lived there around the 1880's. I believe the number of the street was 52 Lady Lane and it was located in St. Mathews parish. I believe there may also have been a marine store next door around that time.from Dave and Daphne Badgery
Lady Lane used to continue some distance past where the old council offices once were, and on as far as the old police station. As the Pedestrian/Pedestrian's Home, it was reported to be at 52 Lady Lane, so we can conclude it was probably at the junction of the then Lady Lane and The Mount.
The closure date is recorded in the Borough Police licensed premises register 1903-1923.
