An earlier pub to the ones of same name (also called Three Tuns) and listed in Commercial rd or Bramford rd.
A report in the Ipswich Journal*** on 24 Nov in 1824 states that :
Samuel BEECH, of the Tuns Inn, Ipswich, was convicted...in the full penalty of £5 for suffering cards to be played in his house & persons to be drinking therein at an unreasonable time of the night.
A report in the Ipswich Journal** in Jan 1830 states that :
To be Let, and may be entered upon immediately, the Three Tuns, public house, in Ipswich. Enquire of Mr Samuel Smith, on the premises.
