A beer house of this name is shown at this location on the 1885 OS map. Our photo is of the main building that is currently located at the site.
"I can confirm that the building pictured was indeed called the Greyhound many years ago. It belonged to Greene King in Bury St. Edmunds. The building is now two cottages and my family has owned one of them since 1961."
