Victorian pub with pleasant atmosphere.
Closed by Greene King in November 2013, and quickly boarded up with all signage removed. Still empty and boarded up when visited in May 2014.
Planning permission for conversion into a retail unit and 11 flats has been lodged.
Update: the Haverhill Echo reports (January 2016) that the building may be converted back into a new bar (or possibly a restaurant). We await developments with interest. Work was seen to be ongoing when visited in June 2016, but with no indication as to what is to come.
