Now residential, the White Horse dates from about 1600.
A report in the Ipswich Journal** in Mar 1825 states :
Died on the 1st March at Haughley, Mr William Ward, aged 72, late of the White Horse Inn in that village, and formerly a shopkeeper in Ipswich.
