Two bar pub on outskirts of town.
In the Dec 1984 edition of Last Orders*** it was reported that the pub name relates to a tale of a lawyer, a parson and a doctor gathered around a dying man. The lawyer pleas for the man's money, the parson for his soul and the doctor for his body. Behind the scene is the devil armed with his trident (or pitch-fork) patiently waiting for the result or the debate as he intends to collect whatever the result (and probably find a use for the fork!) This story may be found depicted in a picture inside the pub.
