Glemsford George Innhistorical era: before 1840

Mentioned in the Ipswich Journal in June 1766. In 1771, the same publication noted that the landlord had moved to Romford, in 1783 it reported the George as being for sale.
Ipswich Journal June 7th 1766Thomas Albon junior takes this opportunity to acquaint the publick that he has taken the George Inn in Glemsford where he has a large stock of beer both of old and dashing which he intends to sell by the hogshead or smaller quantities, such people as chuse to make a trial may depend on being well used by their humble servant.
