Polstead Sallow Treehistorical era: ancient
CAMRA West Suffolk & Borders branch.last updated 10/01/2017
The Polstead History Recorder tells us that the Sallow Tree is known to have stood near Till's Farm. It's reported in a Poor Rate note on 1748 as the Saule Tree with Ed Ward as landlord.
Old maps show a "Salve Tree Farm" close to here. This seems likely to be connected.
