An early 16th century building, with major rebuilding in the 17th century. Now Home Farm.
The building we show is the one listed at Images of England as having been the Maltsters' Arms, though we're not 100% confident this is the right building. If you can confirm or refute this, please get in touch. Apparently the building was originally built as a parlour wing to the attached Maypole.
A report in the Ipswich Journal** on Aug-20 in 1881 when W G Ransom (brewer) was the landlord states that the Tenancy expired at Micklemas. Pub was sold to Selby Hunt (Auctioneer) for £460.
