The Crown was built early in the 16th century, with early 17th century additions. It's now called Crown House.
Although the Listed Buildings register says a house in Shop Street was also a pub called the Crown, we think this may be inaccurate. Certainly old maps show a Crown beerhouse in this location and it changes from a beerhouse to "Crown House" at about the time the licensing record shows it closing.

Closure date from Hoxne licensing records.
