A plaque marks the building on the site of the original Globe, which was home to William Youngman who was a brewer and the first mayor of Lowestoft.
Not to be confused with New Globe which is established after 1885 at 131 High st. [Globe at 131 High St. listed from at least 1861, and possibly earlier.]
