A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 21 Sep in 1836 states that :

Auction of the Greyhound Public House, on the High public road between Sudbury and Bury, a respectable road side house, producing only £24 a year. 1A 1R 18P, stables & all requisite buildings (Landlord not noted)
