The Horseshoes was damaged by fire in 1971 and demolished shortly afterwards.
Its location has been confirmed on the OS map at Bury Record Office.
This photo was lent by David Bennett, the son of William Harry Bennett. The Bennetts at The Horseshoes were related to the Bennetts at The Fox and Hounds (also in Norton).
(information from David Burt)
It's called the Three Horse Shoes on the 1884 map and the Horse Shoes Inn in the 1881 & 1891 censuses.
