A large fireplace and beamed ceilings hint at the building's historic origins - being 14th century in one half and 15th century in the other - but it has been much altered since.
New landlords (since March 2010) have refurbished the pub. Lunchtime and evening meals every day and on Sunday evenings. They also serve Sunday lunch, roast and bar snacks, 12-3.
In the garden is a large pond full of very large koi carp. There is also a large car park and a large, fully fenced garden.
