There is a reference to the (Bath) "Tap" as being a detached wooden building on the beach run by a Mr & Mrs Gee in September, 1854.Inns of the Suffolk Coast, Leonard P Thompson, 1969

A public House appears on the 1903 OS map at this location - it's assumed to have been the Bath Hotel Tap; if you can confirm or refute this, please let us know. This building isn't shown as a pub by the 1926 sheet so presumably closed before that year.

The pub is shown (we think) here on the 1903 OS map, immediately to the south of the Bath Hotel.

old OS map

The 1881 census records this as the Hotel Tap, but the preceding entry is the Bath Hotel.
