Little Thurlow Lion
also traded as as: Red Lionhistorical era: mid 20th century
The building dates from the 18th century. It appears that renovation work has been ongoing for some years; it's apparently been in the sorry state shown in our 2016 photograph for some years (and was still in that state when visited in June 2017).
The 1851 census shows John Webb as a butcher & dealer, but not a publican.
The pub is shown on this old OS map from about the end of the 19th century. larger map
