Suffolk CAMRA Pub of the Year 2005. This listed red brick street corner pub has been run by the same family for over 30 years. It has two bars and a rare off sales counter. The pub is in sight of Greene King's Westgate Brewery. Good value lunches are available Monday to Saturday in this homely hostelry.
Children are not allowed in the pub, but are welcome in the beer-garden.
The building dates from the 17th century with a 19th century exterior. Some parts may be as old as 15th century.
