A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 31 Mar in 1841 states that :

Mr Robert CHASE, deceased, Innkeeper, Butcher, Miller & Farmer, send accounts for settlement to Mrs Martha CHASE at Angel Inn, Fressingfield.

A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 5th June in 1847 states that :

The Angel Inn, Fressingfield, with small brewery & butchers shop in the occupation of Mrs CHASE, particulars available from Mr Chase at the Inn.

A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 28 Aug in 1847 states that a Sale of the effects of Mrs CHASE at the Angel Fressingfield.

A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 16 Oct 1847 states that J.G. COUSINS, Sadler & Harness Maker, has taken this Inn.
