Popular split level bar and restaurant, with a Real Log fire (built by the landlord) which is available on most evenings in the colder months. Real ales are served directly from the cask.
The Bus stop is located just after the nearby crossroads (about 2 minute walk from the pub).
It's believed that the pub pre-dates the railway line and was a coaching inn on the old turnpike. Presumably it had a different name then...
